Surviving Through Mental Health Small Talks

This initiative is designed to deliver interactive, educational workshops that increase mental health awareness and understanding within the community. Through engaging activities, guided discussions, and practical learning experiences, our organization provides accessible mental health education that helps participants build knowledge, reduce stigma, and strengthen emotional awareness.

The workshops are adaptable to diverse audiences and focus on equipping individuals with tools, language, and insight to better support their own mental well-being and the well-being of others.

Pushin P: Chew N’ Chat

Pushin P: Chew N’ Chat is an interactive, prevention-focused educational program designed to resource community leaders and those serving in supportive roles across the community. Modeled after a Lunch & Learn experience, it creates a welcoming space for open dialogue, learning, and connection around mental health.

With a strong emphasis on early intervention, awareness, and proactive support, the program highlights how mental health shows up in Black and Brown communities and equips participants with insight to better respond to those needs. It helps strengthen understanding, reduce stigma, and support more informed, community-centered care.

The woman on the right has short blonde hair and is holding a plate of food, wearing a light-colored top and a colorful knitted cardigan. The woman on the left has her hair tied back, wearing a zebra print top, and large hoop earrings. There are pillows on the couch, a side table with a plant and a clock, and artwork on the wall behind them.

Where Community Connects

Where Community Connects is a community engagement initiative designed to create intentional space for connection, collaboration, and shared purpose. This initiative provides an opportunity to share updates on our work, highlight emerging community needs, and bring together supporters, partners, donors, and potential collaborators.

Its purpose is to foster meaningful relationships, encourage open exchange of information, and strengthen collective support across community networks. It brings people together around a shared commitment to advancing mental health awareness, deepening understanding, and expanding community impact.

Mending Minds

Mending Minds is Project ORF’s preventative mental health education program designed for youth and young adults ages 14–24. Through weekly, trauma-informed group sessions, participants build essential skills in emotional regulation, coping, self-awareness, and healthy communication.

By creating safe spaces for honest conversations about mental health, Mending Minds helps reduce stigma, strengthen resilience, and equip young people with the tools to navigate life’s challenges while recognizing when and how to seek additional support.
